No Center-There is no Center next week April 13-17. Enjoy your Easter and Passover celebrations. We will welcome you back to Center the week of April 20th.
Out of the Office- I will be out of the office April 13 and April 15th-17th. I will be checking my e-mail intermittently if you have any questions or concerns that need to be addressed. I will not be sending a newsletter next Friday so please refer to this update for all relevant information.
Ambassador competition- Please view our Ambassador Calendar on the sidebar of the blog for all upcoming events. We will kick-off the competition in grand fashion on Thursday April 25th followed by a week of speeches. Come out, support your scholars, and vote.
Career fair update- We have secured almost all of our presenters for the upcoming Ward 6 Career Fair. Thank you to all of you who helped to make this event a reality though there is still much work to do. Any mentors willing to help out by hosting presenters on Tuesday, April 28th should e-mail me. It would be a really big help.
End of the Year Celebration (Save the Date) - The “End of the Year Celebration,” is a great time to celebrate all of the work we have done as a community. Mentors please do your best to attend the event and be recognized for all the contributions you have made to our Center. This Center Celebration will take place on May 7, 2009 at Center from 6-8pm. It’s also the best place to get your scrapbooks signed… yep I said scrapbooks. More on that later.
Housekeeping:
Three Weeks of Center left- With three weeks of Center left, it is important that we close out strong. Please continue to challenge your scholars nightly. Also check in with them about their recently released report cards. Finally, be sure touch base with your scholars about maintaining contact over the summer.
