-End of the Year Celebration- Mentors, please join us at Center on Thursday, May 7th to end our year properly; as a family. I hope to see you all there and properly thank you for all of your work this year. You can view the flyer on the sidebar of the blog for further details.
-Ambassador Finale- Tuesday night mentors have the privilege of hosting the finale to our awesome Ambassador Competition. This Tuesday, our Ambassador candidates will be competing in an open forum, answering questions submitted by their fellow scholars. At the end of the night we’ll have a new Ward 6 Ambassador. Everyone is invited to come out and participate. See you there.
-Mentor 360’s- At the conclusion of After School Academy, mentors are required to complete a Higher Achievement 360 form assessing the growth of their scholars. This year the form will be completed online. In the next week, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that this assessment is ready for you to complete. I’ll be in close communication with you after this form goes live. Please be prepared to complete this form in the next week.
-Confirm your Spot- Mentors, please be sure to complete your electronic Confirm Your Spot for next year. Know that you have contributed so much to our culture and I appreciate you all. I hope that you all choose to return next year as I know it will be even better.
-Housekeeping: Thank you again to everyone for all of your support this week. It has been a very busy week for me and I truly appreciate the efforts of EVERYONE in making it out to Center and in stepping up to make sure our scholars were able to have engaging opportunities to participate in and learn from. You are indeed “the best.”
-Last session reminder- It is customary to have goodbye (or see you later) festivities during the last week of Center. Please be intentional about making sure your festivities are structured. Also, all food or drink should be kept in the cafeteria. Let’s continue to be respectful of our space and rules at Center. Here’s to a great final week.
-Continued support of your scholar- Ward 6 may be piloting a continued After School Academy to support a limited number of scholars who have shown a decline as the year has progressed. If you are interested in helping us provide continued support for these scholars, please e-mail me. Details are forthcoming and your assistance would be much appreciated.
"Who are we? WARD 6"
ReplyDeleteCenter has become truly an extended community for our youngsters. I hope you know how much you are needed and valued.
Ok, mentors...We need you back next year!
