  1. Paris Parker's goal is to raise her math grade to an A. She plans to work towards that goal by doing more review before tests, including taking practice tests, and better focusing on what the teacher is explaining in class by taking notes.

  5. Thank you Mr. Jeff and Ms. Megan,

Your scholars have some very "SMART" goals. Scholars will be revisiting goals on in two weeks so make sure to check in with them to see if they are on track!

  6. One of Jordan's goals is to maintain a 4.0 throughout his high school career.

I was also working with India on her goals. They included getting an A on her next report card. She thought she has the best chance of getting an A in her math class.

  9. Since one of Breanna's SMART goals is to improve her math grade, I think I might try to come to Center a bit earlier on Thursdays to help her out 1:1 during study hall. She also wrote comments about "taking class more seriously," which I have noticed her doing at Center, and I am proud of her for making a conscious effort to avoid getting distracted by her very vocal peers!

  11. Breanna and Noelle didn't complete their SMART goals last week during Tuesday mentoring, but they were both happy to share them with me this week. Their goals are as follows:

Breanna intends to raise her grade in Spanish by one letter grade, take English more seriously by completing all of her homework, and get to school on time more often.

Noelle intends to improve her behavior and stay focused in English, finish all of her Music homework, and bring her Spanish grade up to an "A" by the end of the semester.

I look forward to doing what I can help them achieve these goals!
