Ward 6 Weekly 10.8.10

Week in Review:

This week marked our first week of mentoring. I enjoyed walking around center and seeing scholar’s actively engaged and mentors eagerly teaching. The first week of mentoring can always be a little shaky, but I was delighted that everyone stepped up to my challenge and really took the time to build a relationship with your scholars.

Announcements:

Respecting our space:

I want to remind everyone that we are lucky to have the great space that our center is in. That being said, we want to respect our space by leaving it nicer than how we found it.
- Please make sure the cafeteria is cleaned up before we come to Gathering Time. It is important to remind scholars of this when you end mentoring.
- Mentors using the 3rd floor classrooms, please make sure you return the room to how you found it. Check that:
o Desks are returned to the proper place
o All paper/trash is picked up
o Chalk board is cleaned off before you leave (if you use it)
