Mentor Training April 27- May 1, 2009

This week, we are going to look at and evaluate Center from the mentors perspective. Help us continue to improve Center and participate in our stop, start and continue exercise. See you all at center and thank you for the work that you do.

Mentor Training April 20-24, 2009

This week’s check-in will focus on end of the year responsibilities for mentors and sharing ideas for summer engagement. We will also begin the process of evaluating Center.

Mentor Training April 6-10, 2009

This week, mentors will participate in a technical session focused on maintaining scholar relationships. Come prepared to learn about and share best practices for maintaining a positive relationship with your scholars.

Mentor Training Schedule for the Week of March 30-April 3, 2009

Following our week long break, we will have a mentor technical session devoted to maintaining scholar relationships.

Mentor Training March 9-13, 2009

This week, we will do some pre-work to prepare for our upcoming technical session on scholar relationships. We’ll finish our check-in with a re-capping of mentor expectations around attendance, session feedback, and attendance. Thursday mentors will have a technical session on Scholar Motivation.

Mentor Training March 2-6, 2009

In an effort to promote ongoing communication and relationship building this week we are asking that the mentors escort their scholars out for dismissal to meet the scholars’ parents. This is a great opportunity to build stronger relations with the families we serve.

*Thursday Night Mentors, we will have our Technical Session on Scholar Motivation following Center this Thursday. Due to our "Electric Slide" outro this past week I decided it would be better to forego the training session and will instead have it on this upcoming week.
