All together now, everyone welcome Ms. Moraya Seeger-Jackson, yor new Assistant Center Director. I'll be organizing a Coffee hour at a local (Capital Hill) destination to introduce Moraya to our wonderful Ward 6 family. For now here is a little background information on Ms. Moraya, your New Assistant Center Director.
Moraya graduated recently from Guilford College in NC with a BA in Psychology. Though a recent graduate she comes to Higher Achievement will tons of relevant experiences. For example she created a partnership with Guilford College and a local middle school to provide individual tutorial services for 40 students to strengthen their reading and writing skills. Her program required that she recruit and train 30 volunteers. She's facilitated trainings for her volunteers in learning styles, organizational skills, and experiental learning. Final note her volunteers comprised traditional and non-traditional age college students. Moraya brings a great spirit and positive energy to the Ward 6 team.
