Ward 6 Weekly
Week of November 9th
Week in Review
This was a truly phenomenal week! We closed out Welcome Week on Monday with SPARC Bingo and moved directly into our first day of mentoring on Tuesday. Mentors did a fantastic job setting goals with scholars this week. We ended the week with some Brain Quest trivia on Thursday night. Scholars are so excited about mentoring, and frankly your enthusiasm for mentoring is what makes everything possible. I am eager for everyone to start lessons next week!

We have over 20 scholars signed up to participate. Many thanks to the mentors who have signed up to be judges: Ms. Allison, Ms. Jessica, and Mr. Tim! This is a great time to meet families and eat good food! It is a potluck, so please bring something to share. If you would prefer, you can bring drinks, plates, cups, or anything else that would be enjoyable for our festivities. I will have a sign up sheet during mentoring lounge starting 11/9.
Reminder: Mentor Mini Bio
We ask for mentors to write a letter to the families of their scholars so they can understand some of the things you will be doing this year. Please see the attachment. To get these letters to your scholars’ families, you can choose one of two options: 1) Email me your letters and I will send them to your scholars’ homes, or 2) Give your letter to the appropriate scholar and send it home with him or her.
Upcoming dates:
