Week in review:
Even though I already know how amazing you all are as mentors, I still love hearing from visitors and guests about what a wonderful job you are all doing. During the observations that Mr. Sam and I completed on Thursday it is evident that you are coming to Center prepared and you have a commitment to our scholars’ learning. All this hard work pays off, when scholars come in with improved grades, when a quiet scholar speaks during Gathering Time or when your scholars accept your challenges instead of giving up.
Announcements:
Donate to the SPARC Store:
Scholars have requested some books for the SPARC store, we would be very grateful if you are able to donate a book. As a book feeds the mind for a lot longer then candy feeds the belly. We have also received requests for “Diary of a wimpy kid” just in case you are curious.
Absences:
o Please let me know as soon as possible of any foreseen absences this spring!
o Please let me know ASAP if you will absent the week of March 15th-19th
§ We will be having guest speakers at Center since all of our fantastic GW mentors will be out on Spring Break that week.
§ Tues, Apr 27th - Ambassador Competition Join us as our Center elects a Scholar
Ambassador for next year! Our finalists will be conducting their campaigns during March and February to become the new Ward 6 Ambassador and lead Center. On this night we will listen to final speeches and cast our votes for the new Ambassador.
